At our last meeting, it was agreed that the first thing we should do is to have a fund drive for a food line. Our goal is $500.00. This will be a start so we can buy some rice and fish to give out. We’re already running late as Christmas is about six weeks away. This afternoon I worked on a handout to post in the local stores. spcscwk-wp.pdf
I also signed up for a Paypal account, but this will not be completed for a few more days. Yesterday and today I went around and asked some stores if I could solicit in front of their store and they all said no, except Walmart. Walmart said I could, but I need to come back and fill out some paperwork. They also said that there are no days available this year as the Salvation Army has it locked up till the end of the year. I’ll go back and try to get some days for next year. Till next time…
Update: We got the Paypal working. I went back to Walmart and they said no.
I just went and made a small donation. I hope others will do the same!

Thanks for the comment. What we are going to do is locate the kids in deep poverty in that area and give them a ticket, like a pass. We are estimating about 100-200 in total we are trying to help. As of today we are not near our goal. Hopefully, tomorrow we will take in some donations at Borders Books.
